Biblical interpretation is concerned with understanding the meaning of the Biblical text as well as its significance for people today. Students will explore the relationship between the author, text, and reader, and how each contributes to the formation of meaning. They will also learn to recognize and work with the different literary genres of the Bible and gain an overview of various hermeneutical approaches to Scripture.
